Starting today room started learning code. We got introduced to this amazing website named hour of code. Some of the choices were Star Wars, Minecraft, Frozen and many more. Now I'm going to interview Kirstin and see if she recommends hour of code.

"So Kirstin do you recommend hour of code?"

"Yes it's a very nice website were you can learn to follow instructions and challenge your computer skills."

Reading outside

I could feel sticks poking me on my leg.We were reading Harry Potter .It was super fun even though we were listening to our teacher read.

Super room 2ers of the week!

This week Brontay, Vaughan, and Nadia have been fantastic! Brontay received a Principal's Award for her excellent work in inquiry. Vaughan and Nadia both received virtues for the responsibility for their own learning that they have been showing this week. Well done you three!

First day back!!!

Well I have already written my recount about the first day back at school, so now I'm going to tell you how I published it. I used Adobe voice. Adobe voice is an amazing way we usually use to publish our amazing  writing!

Cats in the Hats reading

Today the cat and the hat group were doing some reading . The  books name was always great , never late. So we listened to the book on a netbooks .When we have done that we got our school books and wrote some questions that the  teacher gave us. After that we had to pack up everything and put the eare phones in a bag. We had lots of fun. ~ Shadiya

We LOVE swimming!

Room 2 absolutely loves swimming. We are all so excited when ever we go swimming and we are always the first to get the pools on our swimming day and where cool with that. Where really lucky we don't need to wait all day to go for a swim! We're mostly excited when we get free time in the pool.

In room two our teacher Miss Varcoe showed us a new type of art last week and we gave it a go.  This is my piece of work and my word discribing me is active.  I personly think it is a really cool thing to do and I would like to try it again. I still have to colour it in with pastel to make it colourful and bright.

Brontay's birthday!

Today was such a fun day because it was my birthday!!! Today I turned 9. I got a few presents this morning, I got a Polaroid camera and a swimming pool and some presents from my friends. But my cake looks AWESOME!!! It is a three layered cake with pink icing and a B made out of fondant at the top. I can't wait until I get hope to see my freinds and family and EAT THE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visualising

Today room 2 were learning about visualising. We learnt that visualising was drawing a picture in your mind or when your reading a story you can even make a movie in your mind. We drew a pair of shoes each without any one seeing it and it turned out that all our shoes were different. Most of us did pictures of shoes we wanted. We used our prior knolage when we were drawing our pictures that's why all our shoes turned out different. We had loads of fun learning about visualising today and we hope we can learn about it again soon!

First day back!

Today was our first day back at school for 2016! We were all feeling a bit nervous, but excited! But we found out that we are in room 2! Our first day back has been an awesome, fun experience! We reckon, this year, we'll get some great marks, and have fun with our teacher, Miss Varcoe. 

We're super excited for an incredible year with our amaaaazing class!
